Members of the primary trade union organization of the healthcare institution «4th City Clinical Hospital named after M. Saŭčanka», held the campaign «Touch the life» as part of World Cancer Day. The clinic's specialists and all interested attended an organized round table where topical issues related to diagnostic measures, general principles of treatment and dispensary observation were discussed. Oncological pathology ranks second among all causes of death in the Republic of Belarus. The outcome of treatment depends on the stage at which the disease was detected. Therefore, early diagnosis and screening which is aimed at identifying the disease in practically healthy people are the basis for successful treatment, and thereby reduce mortality from a terrible illness.

It is important to remember that timely treatment in medical institutions is likely to save lives.
