State institution "Hospital of palliative care "Hospice"

The nursing department provides care and supportive care services for people with severe, chronic, incurable diseases (consequences of trauma) who have no or significantly reduced self-care ability.

Nursing care for patients includes medical procedures (all types of injections, treatment of ostomy openings, installation and flushing of a Foley catheter, urine collection bag), blood glucose measurement, ECG recording, consulting relatives on patient care.

The following procedures are performed by the efforts of junior nurses in caring for patients: hygiene procedures, assistance in dressing, changing diapers, underwear and bed linen, washing, assistance in eating, drinking, assistance in taking medications prescribed by a doctor, sanitizing the patient’s room, prevention of bedsores in bedridden patients.

The therapist of the nursing department works on weekdays from 8.00 to 15.00. In the evening and at night, on weekends and holidays, the medium-grade medical personnel is responsible for monitoring the patients.

Pre-registration for hospitalization in the nursing department is carried out by phone 379-45-03 on weekdays from 8.00 to 16.00.

Before a hospitalization, the agreement for the provision of services is concluded between the patient (or his representative) and the state institution "Hospital of palliative care "Hospice" (hereinafter – the Hospice) at Partyzanski Avenue, 73A, office 305, Mon.-Fri. from 8.00 to 15.00. It is recommended to pre-register by phone 236-15-83 to streamline the work on the conclusion of agreements.

To conclude the agreement, you must submit the following documents:

  1. Referral to the nursing department (issued by the polyclinic or a hospital in which the patient is located) in the prescribed form (see appendix);

  2. Latest epicrisis from the hospital (if available);

  3. The conclusion of the medical consultative commission of a psychiatric dispensary on the possibility of staying in the nursing department (or examination by a psychiatrist (psychotherapist) in the hospital);

  4. Certificate on the amount of pension for the last month;

  5. Passport and certificate of a disabled person (if any) of the patient;

  6. Passport of the person concluding the agreement.

  7. During the period of the quarantine measures for COVID-19, a negative test result for coronavirus (smear for PCR) is provided for a period of no more than 5 days ago.

The agreement is concluded for 1 month. If there are vacancies, it is possible to extend the agreement’s validity. For this, it is necessary to submit a new certificate on the amount of pension.

The cost of staying in the nursing department is 80% of the monthly pension. The specific amount of payment is calculated by the Hospice economist. The patient representative makes 100% prepayment and provides the receipt to the Hospice economist.

Hospitalization of patients is carried out on weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 9.00 to 14.00.

For the time of the quarantine measures, visits of relatives are prohibited.

The patient is discharged from the nursing department on the last day of the term specified in the agreement. In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the responsibility for the timely release of a bed on the day of discharge is borne by the person on whose behalf the agreement was concluded.

Transportation of the patient to (from) the nursing department is carried out by the patient (or his representative).

In accordance with current legislation, in case of early discharge (death) of the patient, unused funds are returned to the person on whose behalf the agreement was concluded.
