The endoscopic department was organized as an independent unit of the clinic in 2013. The department performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic manipulations.

Diagnostic studies: esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, retrograde cholangiopancreatography.

If necessary, researches can be performed with intravenous anesthesia (narcosis), a biopsy from the organs under investigation can be performed as well.

Endoscopic operations:

• endoscopic removal of benign tumors (polyps) from the upper and lower parts of the gastrointestinal tract,
• foreign bodies extraction,
• surgery on the bile ducts (papillosphincterotomy, extraction of bile duct stones, installation of stents in the bile ducts, etc.).
• A unique endoscopic technique for treating obesity is the installation of an intragastric balloon (without surgical intervention).

The endoscopic department is equipped with video endoscopic equipment manufactured by Olimpus, Pentax, Fujinon (Japan).
